Fruit Pizza Recipe: American Flag Fruit Pizza with Strawberries, Blueberries, and Bananas from Nickels-n-Dimes.com

Since Memorial Day is tomorrow and since Flag Day and Fourth of July are just around the corner, I thought I’d share my patriotic fruit pizza today!

I have quite a few fruit pizza recipes and although I like them all, this is the easiest one to throw together.

Ingredients:

2 Tubes Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough
2 8-oz packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2 7-oz jars of Marshmallow Fluff
Strawberries
Blueberries
Bananas

Instructions:

1. Roll out cookie dough and completely cover ungreased cookie sheet.
2. Bake at 350 degrees until golden. (Follow instructions on package)
3. While cookie crust is baking, blend together cream cheese and marshmallow fluff.
4. Slice strawberries thinly (I used an egg slicer).
5. When crust is golden, remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
6. While cookie crust is still warm, spread cream cheese/marshmallow mixture over entire crust.
7. Place rows of blueberries in the top left corner to symbolize starry background.
9. Start with strawberries at the very top of the crust and alternate rows of strawberries with blank rows to the bottom of the crust to symbolize stripes of our flags. {Pay attention to this and start with the strawberries. I wasn’t paying attention and put my white stripe at the top instead of my red stripe. Oops}
10. Chill until right before serving.

This is what your pizza will look like if you don’t add the step below.  I originally made my pizza this way, but my girls complained that it needed more fruit.

Added step: If you’d like to add a little more fruit to your pizza, slice some bananas and place them on the white stripes just before serving!

If you’re not looking to make an American flag, this fruit pizza recipe is delightful with kiwi, peaches, and pineapples added.  Be creative and experiment with your favorite fruit and if you find a delightful combo, let me know!
