No Bake Oreo Delight Recipe

Today as I was scrolling through iPhoto looking for a picture, I realized I have tons of photos of recipes that I’ve made that I’ve never shared with you!  That’s all about to change.

Today I am going to share with you what just might be the best dessert you ever make.  I call it Oreo Delight.  My kids call it That Awesome Oreo Stuff.  Whatever you call it, it’s darn good!!  And it’s super easy to make!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 package of Oreos (I use Double Stuff cause they’re my fave, but any Oreos will work)
1/2 cup of butter
1 Large Box of Instant Chocolate Pudding (You can use the sugar-free, fat-free kind if it makes you feel less guilty. I do that since I’ve been known to eat half a pan of this) (and the ingredients needed to make pudding…in other words…milk)
2 8oz tubs of Cool Whip (again you can use the lite or fat-free if you want)
8 oz of cream cheese {softened} (light or fat-free works too)
1 cup powdered sugar

As you can see, I sometimes use the lighter versions of some of the ingredients to make me feel better about my inhalation of this awesome dessert!

Now it’s time to get this show on the road.

1. Crush the entire package of oreos. (I use a food processor, but you could throw them in a ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin if you want)
2. Take 1 cup of crumbs and set aside to use as topping. Pour additional crumbs into a 9×13 pan.
3. Melt your butter in the microwave or over the stove.
4. Pour melted butter over oreo crumbs in the 9×13 pan and press to form a crust.

5.  Make pudding according to package directions and allow to set in fridge.
6. Blend cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. It may help to only add a little powdered sugar at a time to avoid a powdered sugar cloud and a mess!
7. Next add 1 8oz tub of cool whip to your cream cheese/powdered sugar blend.
8. Now it’s time to start layering up the yumminess. Start by pouring your cream cheese mixture over your oreo crumb crust.
9. Smooth your cream cheese mixture over the crust.

10.  Pour your chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer and spread evenly.

11. Spread the remaining tub of cool whip over the chocolate pudding layer.  If the cool whip is not thoroughly thawed, it will not spread easily. On the days where I make this with mostly frozen Cool Whip, I throw the frozen cool whip into a ziploc bag and pipe it over the pudding layer.

12.  Last, but not least, sprinkle the remaining Oreo crumbs over the top of your masterpiece!

Voila!  You have some serious goodness here!
