Hi! My name is Ellen and you can find me regularly at Thrifty & Chic Mom where I blog about money saving, do reviews and giveaways, share recipes and generally talk about being a mom, come on over and say Hi sometime.

I am excited to share with you some ideas for homemade Valentine’s while Becky enjoys Blissdom!

  • Box of Love: This is a great craft for grandparents or parents from a child. Have you child decorate a box then “fill” it with kisses. Close it and tie with a bow to keep all those kisses in and send or deliver to a loved one.
  • Cookie bouquet: These are easier than you think just bake your favorite cookies and insert a long rod into the cookies as soon as you pull them out of the oven ( you can buy at local craft store) Once cooled arrange like a flower bouquet.
  • 10 things list: This is great for a spouse you make a list of 10 things here are a few topics you can use, 10 reasons I fell in love with you/love you, my 10 favorite things about you, 10 reasons I am glad I married you, 10 reasons you are the best dad/husband
  • Heart candles (watch Martha’s video here)
  • Heart tea bags: Cut two hearts out of red construction paper, write a short message on one of the hearts. Next, remove a tea-bag tag and, at the end of the string, affix two hearts, back-to-back, using double-sided tape or a stapler. Package bags to give as a present, or steep one in hot water and serve.
  • Button heart cuff links: Make these for these men in your life, instructions here
  • Make homemade goodies in the shape of hearts

Ellen will be posting soon about Valentine’s Day crafts for kids and invites you to come check out her many crafty ideas to brighten your Valentine’s day. Please check out Ellen’s post as well for her suggestions on a few gifts you could buy for your Valentine here.
